Description
It starts with room to gather. With about 1,844 square feet of living space on a 25'9" beam, the Aquila 50 Sail offers more than any comparable cruising catamaran we measured. The bow cockpit opens into a true living space with two large sun loungers, while the full flybridge has a U-shaped settee seating eight, with a three-seat helm at its center, so whoever's steering stays in the conversation. The aft cockpit sits twelve around an extendable table for long, open-air dinners, flowing directly into the galley via our signature bar so no one is left out of the conversation. Inside, panoramic windows fill the salon with light, and a four-burner galley with island and full-size refrigeration gives you the space to provision for weeks.
Then there's room to relax. With 4, 5 or 6 cabin layouts sleeping up to 14 guests, every single cabin features a private companionway and dedicated ensuite head with walk-in shower. Because there are no shared hallways, everyone gets a true sanctuary of their own. And you're not choosing a cabin count for the life of the boat: a shipyard package converts a six-cabin boat back to five with a full owner's suite later.
And underway, it's just as considered. The two-spreader rig carries 1,679 square feet of upwind sail area, with a tracked genoa you can trim on both tacks. Bridge-to-bow stairs on both sides give three ways up to the flybridge, so the Aquila 50 Sail sails easily shorthanded.
