At the heart of the R8 Surf is Cobalt’s custom wave technology, engineered to deliver powerful, consistent waves at the touch of a button. The Cobalt Surf System (CSS) uses six hard ballast tanks holding up to 1,066 kg to create the displacement required for professional-level wakes.
Paired with Surf Gate™ technology, riders can switch wave sides instantly, making it ideal for shared sessions and progressive skill development.
This system positions the R8 Surf at the top of its sterndrive class, outperforming traditional wake setups.
