The story of Rae line Boats
Rae Line Boats began in the early 1990s with Peter Rae, the company's namesake, manufacturing small award-winning twin hull dinghies for the New Zealand market alongside fiberglass repair work under the Rae Line brand. In May 1998, Peter Rae partnered with Ian Williamson to form Rae Line Ltd and secured a contract to build Sea Ray boats under license for the New Zealand, Australian and South Pacific markets. Over the years, Rae Line produced multiple Sea Ray models under this agreement until Sea Ray withdrew in 2006, after which Rae Line continued to manufacture these models under their own brand.
Rae Line launched its first new model, the 186 C cuddy cabin, which was well-received for its quality and innovative four-stroke stern drive power. They also upgraded existing models and expanded their range, including the release of custom features and new build models like the 205 OB bowrider.
