Overview
Description
The Tactician was built for one reason: to get you onto water that's off-limits to everything else. The river with no ramp. The alpine lake with no road. The estuary you've watched from the bank for years. No trailer. No ramp. Just water - wherever you find it.
Not just a boat. Your access to fishing grounds - anywhere
- Glides across the water — The catamaran hull and 350cm waterline give the Tactician a hull speed kayaks can't touch. Add an outboard and you're covering serious ground.
- Packs smaller than a kayak — 80 × 60 × 25 cm and 28 kg. It goes in your car boot, your motorhome locker, the back of a ute. A kayak needs a roof rack - the Tactician just needs a back seat.
- Motor capable. Kayaks aren't. — Rated to 6hp on the aluminium transom. Put an electric motor on it for silent bliss.
- Stand up. Both of you. — Catamaran stability means you stand to cast, move freely, and net fish - even with two on board. A kayak demands you sit still.
01 · Portability — The water others can't reach. Yours.
Hard boats need a ramp, a trailer, and a tow vehicle. The Tactician needs none of that. Park. Unpack. Inflate. You're on the water in under ten minutes - on rivers, alpine lakes, and estuaries that hard boats will never touch.
It lives in your boot. Your motorhome. Your yacht's locker. Every trip becomes a fishing trip.
02 · Motor capability — Put an outboard on it. Cover the whole lake.
The aluminium transom handles up to 6hp. That opens up water kayakers spend 40 minutes paddling to.
Oars are included - you don't need a motor to get going. Add one later when you're ready to push further.
03 · Stability — Fish standing. Both of you. At the same time.
The catamaran hull puts buoyancy on the outside of the tubes - not under the hull. You get a platform stable enough to cast from, net from, and move around on, even with two adults on board.
No Kayak lets you stand and fish with a mate without someone holding on.
04 · Build quality — Built to last
Valmex® by Mehler Germany is the same fabric used in commercial and military inflatables. UV-resistant, stays supple after years of folding, and genuinely long-lasting. Boats built from this material 20 years ago are still in regular use.
Seams are thermo-welded - not glued. The bond is permanent and stronger than the fabric around it.
Three ways to move. Your choice.
The Tactician works with whatever propulsion suits your water. Every boat ships with oars - add a motor when you're ready.
- Electric motor — The smart choice for fishing. Near-silent. Zero fumes. All-day range on a charge. ePropulsion, Torqeedo, and Momentum pair well. Fish without spooking a thing.
- Petrol outboard (up to 6hp) — Covers ground fast across large lakes. Plane with a 5-6hp (short shaft). Still light enough to carry, powerful enough to get there quickly.
- Human Powered - oars included — Every Tactician ships with a 2-piece aluminium oar set. Good for calm water and getting on the water the day your boat arrives.
Motor sizing tip: The Tactician is efficient - you don't need to go big. Even a 1hp pushes the Tactician! If you wish to plane - go for 4-6hp.
