Overview

About this vessel

Piece of History! This is a legendary 1947 Murray Peterson schooner "Marie Celine" that was owned by wetsuit pioneer Jack O'Neill and served as the family boat for over 5 decades. Built in Wilmington, California by Fellows and Stewart over 75 years ago, she has been maintained and preserved lovingly. Her incredible history includes two circumnavigations.

She underwent an extensive refit in 2011 by Port Townsend Shipwrights Coop: new Sapele planks, new deck beams and frames, new okoume BS 1088 Ply subdeck and sapele laid plank top decks, new sea cocks, completely rewired 12 Volt and 120 Volt electrical systems, rebuilt anchor windlass, rebuilt wormdrive steering system, new stainless steel tanks, new navigation electronics, and endless other upgrades.
