Ellen Classic Timber Yacht

'Ellen' is a classic carvel planked Jarrah timber boat below the waterline with Oregon above. The hull has been fully glassed adding strength while making the hull far less maintenance and the mast and rigging have been replaced. She has a 4hp 2 stroke Yamaha outboard, boom cover and a deck cover designed to keep the sun off and the water out.

'Ellen' is a classic timber yacht currently being raced and cruised in Goolwa South Australia as part of the Vintage Boat Club. The bright work is still looking as good as the day she was relaunched in 2017. She is a credit to her owner having been lovingly restored over the last few years. 'Ellen' is a beautiful day sailor / racer with classic lines. With a small amount of work 'Ellen' could easily be modified to incorporate overnight accommodation which would make her the perfect river cruiser.
