About this vessel
'Charles Henry is an Oakley Class 48'6" built by Osbournes of Littlehampton in 1968. She entered service in 1969 at Selsey until 1983 and finally in Baltimore, Ireland from 1984 until she was decommissioned in 1987. Built in the double diagonal method using mahogany planking with an Aluminium superstructure. Twin Gardner 6LX inboard diesels which have been lovingly maintained by her present custodians. She also benefits from a 5000W inverter and a 7000W generator. She has berths for 4, galley area and wet room. Purchased as a restoration project by RNLI enthusiasts who have done an incredible job in restoration. Pressures of life and changing circumstances mean the 'Charles Henry' is looking for a new home.
