Tillotson-Pearson 26' Lema Bonito
Overview
About this vessel
In the early 1970s, legendary builder Dick Lema set out to create a fiberglass bass boat inspired by the proven performance of the classic wooden 26-footer designed by Manny Parece of Seekonk, Massachusetts. Using Parece's hull as the foundation, Lema developed what would become the iconic Lema 26 Bonito, a rugged and respected design known for its seaworthiness, efficiency, and timeless lines.
This particular cuddy cabin version is a standout example and truly a dream package for the classic boating enthusiast. Powered by a reliable Yanmar diesel engine paired with a heavy-duty MerCruiser stern drive, she delivers an efficient and dependable platform equally suited for cruising, fishing, or diving adventures.
A comprehensive 2006 refit brought the vessel up to modern standards while preserving the character and heritage that make these boats so desirable today. The result is a versatile and distinctive classic that combines traditional Down East styling with practical modern functionality.
