About this vessel
A Centre cockpit, tiller steered, fin keel yacht 93 the Seal 28 design was introduced in the late 70's as a capable roomy cruiser suitable for both inshore and offshore sailing. Her centre cockpit arrangement gives her a safe working deck whilst providing a layout offering berths for up to 7. Boat is currently pictured, and lying in a cradle in the yard. Some pictures are taken prior to lifting to demonstrate the boat in an operating condition.
COCKPIT:
The Cockpit has benches either side with scrubbed teak slats over the GRP structure, Top hinged lockers under the seats, Teak fronted lockers within the seat backs/coamings. Treadmaster on the Cockpit sole where a section lifts to access the engine and shaft, etc.
AFT CABIN
Two washboards and sliding hatch entry, Double berth, stowage spaces and fixed windows.
SALOON
Entry with washboards and sliding hatch to the companion way. GRP moulded steps remove to give access to the engine. Centrally located table with lifting leaves. Settees to both Port and Stbd with upholstered seat and back cushions. Stowage behind and below. Both provide good sized single berths. Ventilators and cabin lights fitted.
GALLEY
Situated to port in L-form. GRP sink with manually pumped cold water. Cup & plate rack behind and stowage. Gas 2-ring hob, grill and oven. Stowage in the underside deck space. Chart table to starboard with book rack, electrical switchboard and instrumentation.
HEADS
Portable toilet and hand-basin. A hanging locker opposite.
FORE-CABIN
Twin single berths in V-form which, with an infill, converts to double berth.
DECK
Fitted with a hatch on the Fore-deck for light, ventilation and emergency escape. The cabin windows are in plexiglass along both sides and provide good amount of daylight to the cabin space. A practical deep anchor well forward with fitting for anchor stowage and entry for chain and warp above. Deck cleats and slotted toe rail surround.
