Overview

About this vessel

Step aboard TUVALU - Moody 33 MKII Centre Cockpit. - Price Reduced. A well proven and very capable cruising yacht, renowned for its solid construction, practical layout, and offshore pedigree. Designed by Angus Primrose and built by Marine Projects in Plymouth, the Mk2 version of the Moody 33 builds on the success of the original with a refined interior layout, improved helm position, and enhanced sailing performance – making it a favourite among serious sailors and liveaboard cruisers alike. This particular example has been significantly upgraded with a reliable Yanmar 3JH2E diesel engine and matching Yanmar SD31 sail-drive, offering exceptional efficiency, smooth operation, and trusted global support – a vital consideration for long-distance voyaging. These upgrades greatly enhance the yacht's capability for extended, self-sufficient cruising in remote areas. With her proven centre cockpit design, the Moody 33 Mk2 offers excellent protection at sea, a secure helm position with fixed screens, and a spacious aft cabin – features often found only in larger yachts. Her robust GRP hull, well-balanced sail plan, and thoughtfully designed deck layout make her equally suited to coastal cruising or serious blue-water passages.
