Catalina 30

This 1980 Catalina 30 has been substantially updated and is ready for active sailing. The owner is currently living overseas and wants the boat sold.

The boat features a marine Yanmar diesel engine installed around 2008, which was recently serviced in September 2025 and runs properly. The electrical system has been modernised with two batteries replaced in 2024, all cabin outlets upgraded to GFI in 2023, and interior lighting upgraded to LED fixtures. A new AM/FM stereo with two zones and four speakers was installed in 2024.

The sails are in good condition: a furling genoa on the forestay and a mainsail with a lazy-jack system for easy single-handed drops. Standing and running rigging are in good working order. The deck includes four lifelines (three in good condition, one requiring a shackle replacement), a primary anchor with 30–40 ft of chain, four new dock lines, and a deck-mounted propane grill. Six deck seat cushions are included.

Below decks, the galley has a two-burner electric stove and two sinks with manual pumps. The interior includes berth cushions (a mix of original and newer replacements), a brand-new 36-inch 4K television installed in 2024, and comprehensive safety equipment: five adult life vests, one child life vest, three fire extinguishers (replaced in 2023), two boxes of emergency flares, and a new Coast Guard-approved horseshoe life ring. Fresh water capacity is 18 gallons and the marine head is in good working condition.

The boat includes lifetime service manuals, comprehensive upgrade and service documentation, and assorted spare parts. A survey dated 8/27/24 is available.
