This 1980 Jeanneau Melody embodies the perfect marriage of maritime tradition and modern enhancements. Designed for coastal and offshore cruising, it has been meticulously maintained and upgraded to ensure safe and enjoyable voyages.
The boat features a forward double cabin and convertible saloon with 2 cabins, 1 head, and berths for 8. The mainsail includes a lazy bag, and the boat carries a Genoa 320 on furler, Solent and symmetrical spinnaker with pole, and a removable inner forestay. Standing rigging and mast were installed in 2015. The Yanmar 2QM20 engine is regularly serviced, with a fixed 3-blade propeller and batteries and stuffing box replaced in 2023.
A full osmosis treatment was completed in 2008 by Polyester Nautique Service, and the rudder has been replaced. Raymarine I50/I60 electronics were installed in 2022. An electric windlass was installed in 2012. The marine toilet was replaced in 2012, and cabin linings in the forward and aft cabins have been refurbished. Onboard features include a stainless steel stove and oven and a cockpit with teak slatted benches. Stainless steel sheet tracks and guardrails have been replaced. A serviced liferaft is included, along with a Plastimo P270 dinghy with Tohatsu 3.5 hp outboard motor.
All maintenance and upgrades are thoroughly documented with corresponding invoices.
