Historic Nepean Belle and MV Platypus - Exceptional business with no Competition

The Nepean Belle is a historic paddlewheeler that has been operating on the Nepean for the last 43 years. The current owners have added MV Platypus, a modern floating bar—the only one of its kind in the area—and are now ready to pass the operation on to the next person.

MV Nepean Belle is a charming paddlewheeler in fabulous condition (AMSA Survey 1E), accommodating up to 178 passengers. It offers elegance and character on the picturesque Nepean River, perfect for sightseeing and special events.

MV Platypus, commonly known as The River Boat Bar, has been recently renovated. This 2-storey versatile open-plan vessel is ideal for parties and private events, hosting up to 160 guests. She features a fully equipped bar running right down the middle of the vessel and a separate designated cocktail bar. The vessel has plenty of seating that can be easily moved to increase the dance floor, and its own DJ booth. She is equipped with modern amenities, air conditioning, substantial refrigeration, galley, and cool room. She runs on 2 x 115 hp Honda outboards.

A floating office serves as the operational hub, featuring a reception area, multiple offices, staff facilities, a workshop, and storage. It includes a cool room and freezer room to maintain high standards for food and beverages.

A private slipway is conveniently included, providing easy access for maintenance and launching of vessels.
