About this vessel
Considered one of the better production-built, performance cruisers of it's day the Sun Fizz 40 is renowned for it's ease of handing, strong build and turn of speed. 'Marooned' named after her maroon hull presents in well used condition for her exterior and a very good condition interior. She comes with a 50hp Perkins shaft drive diesel and offers enough accommodation to sleep up to 8 people if required. She offers a large cockpit, good sails and rigging (though a rig inspection may be advised by your insurer), autohelm, tender and outboard, spacious decks, and a walk through transom to her sugar scoop.
At over forty feet, Marooned is a lot of boat for her price point and whilst she will benefit from a serious detail and new rigging in the short term, her price is negotiable and as such we welcome serious offers. Located on her marina berth nearby our office here on Manly Harbour (which we can arrange to have the berth transferred to the new owner), she has been antifouled in January 2026 and is ready to inspect.
