Ocean Yachts 12 Pilot House

MONDIAL is a 12m Oceans 12 Pilot House cruising yacht designed by Alan Wright and launched 1984.

Owned and loved by the vendor for over 35 years, she is now only for sale due to him reluctantly retiring from a life of sailing.

With a GRP hull and teak decks she has huge volume for cruising or liveaboard, with a spacious saloon with beautifully crafted timber interior, and a great galley with twin sinks and a gimballed stove. Large aft stateroom with ensuite.

Presented in extremely good original condition she had previously travelled to the Pacific Islands and Australia, and subsequently Fiordland and over 100 Cook Strait crossings with the vendor.

Powered by a 70hp Volvo MD21B with 3965 hrs, cruising at 6.5 knots at 2200 rpm.

Rigging was inspected in 2016 with stainless steel lines, swages, toggles and halyards replaced by Swansons. Alloy mast was off and internals updated in 1993.

Rare to present such an original vessel that has been well maintained and kept to such a high standard. A proven strong capable cruiser with a sheltered helm position for all year cruising.
