About this vessel
This clinker construction rowing skiff was custom built by local boat builder Ian Cooper of Windermere. Major overhauls were undertaken by another local builder, Patterson Boatworks, in 2014 and 2019 including a full strip to bare wood and recoating in multiple layers of varnish. With four sets of oars, she makes a classic dayboat for family days out or fishing with friends. A new cover was supplied in 2019 and she comes with a custom road trailer and an option to buy a small Yamaha outboard. To replace this boat new would cost a significant amount but the seller is open to discussing all offers.
Construction: Clinker built in local Larch wood by Windermere based builder, Ian Cooper. The rowlocks are recovered from a much older Skiff called "June" which the owner inherited from his father. Major maintenance work was carried out in 2014 and 2019 by Patterson Boatworks of Hawkshead when the boat was stripped to bare wood and recoated with multiple coats of varnish.
