About this vessel
Vallicelli designed 42 Ft Comet 12 cruiser-racer built in 1986 by Comar, Italy's largest production yacht builder. Comar enjoys a strong reputation as a builder with a rich heritage of innovation, design excellence and build quality. Over 200 Comet 12's were built and they are to be found cruising and racing world-wide. They have proved to be excellent offshore and coastal cruising yachts; comfortable, sea-kindly and easily handled with the added benefit of heightened performance for those owners who enjoy racing.
There is spacious accommodation in her three cabin layout. The interior features impressive teak faced bulkheads and trim with quality upholstery and the layout offers plenty of room for comfortable life aboard. She can sleep a full crew of up to 9 but she is readily sailed by a cruising family. She has been well maintained and thoughtfully upgraded including a new Nanni 50HP diesel engine in 2012, a new mast and rigging in 2017 and a recently installed extensive suite of Brookes and Gatehouse performance electronics with multiple displays including AIS and plotters with multi-function display at Helm and Nav station.
