About this vessel
The Duncanson 34 is a proven Australian-designed cruising yacht, respected for its solid build, dependable sailing performance, and practical layout. Scoundrel is a well-maintained example that presents as a genuine, ready-to-use yacht with key upgrades already completed--ideal for coastal cruising, club racing, or comfortable weekends away.
Powered by a reliable Volvo 2030 diesel engine (approx. 1400 hours), she offers efficient and dependable motoring via saildrive. Her sail wardrobe is in good order, featuring a North fully battened mainsail (2020), Binks genoa (2019), and storm jib (2022), supported by upgraded 2019 stainless Dyform standing rigging and Furlex furler--providing confidence for extended sailing.
On deck, she is well set up for short-handed sailing with a practical winch layout, Muir anchor winch, and a quality 15kg Rocna anchor with 85m of chain. Aft davits need to be strengthened and re installed.
Below deck, the layout is functional and comfortable, offering two cabins including a forward V-berth and aft quarter berth, along with a convertible dinette and additional sea berth--accommodating up to six. The galley is simple and usable with 12v refrigeration, metho stove, and manual freshwater/saltwater system.
Electronics are well above average for a vessel of this size, including Raymarine autopilot, VHF, Lowrance GPS systems, Iridium communications, and Tacktick wind instruments--making her a capable and well-equipped coastal cruiser.
Kings DC/DC charging, inverter, and multiple battery banks supports extended time away from shore power.
