A well regarded tough and capable Seaboat, the 2nd last Randell 34 "Highdecker" made by Precision marine in WA. Extensively refitted numerous times and set up for long range cruising, fishing and diving the fantastic remote locations in S. A. Due to the efficiency of the Volvo KAD Duo-prop drives (repowered in 2000) she has a range of over 500nm conservative cruising speeds 20-23 knots capable of well over 30kts. I have completed many extended west coast trips of over 1000nm with a single refuel. This boat is a one off, fastidiously maintained mechanically with little regard to mechanical expense by myself. A fast small LUXURY cruiser with ALL the comfy gear but a fraction of $$ to set up.
Major Refit prior to departure August 2019. Both outboard legs have been completely replaced with brand new Volvo Penta Legs, costing over $80k along with 2 Brand new Super Chargers (Valued at $10k Each). Both engines removed, minor oil leak fixed on port. All 3 heat exchangers and thermostats dismantled, & immersion bath cleaned to "as new". Inter-coolers dismantled and overhauled. Turbo's replaced with turbine side exhaust housings ceramic coated for premium long-term protection. Exhaust wet injector elbows replaced with Stainless steel genuine counterparts. All drive belts, hoses and seals replaced as necessary; alternators/starter motors dismantled & checked. Both replaced on STB engine as a precaution along with major services to engines. The drives were removed and sent to Don Morton Volvo dealer for resealing. Genset completely overhauled. New Head, barrel, piston, bearing, seals fuel system. New water pump. Extensive mechanical spares.
16,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioning fitted. Satellite T. V. System fitted. Electronic Flybridge shift/throttle controls with cockpit repeater station and engine start/stop. New front clears. New custom covers for flybridge, and cockpit. New rear 1/2 cockpit awning & Ero awning with side wings and outriggers for 100% shade in tropics. Carpet protectors added. Autopilot flux gate replaced. New Furuno GP1971F with all AUS C-Map charts, Transducer in Hull box. Enerdrive 3 bank En31260 battery charger fitted. Monitor twin engine synchronizer refitted to FB dash. New rear slider locking latch mech fitted. Rear cockpit shore power IP66 inlet fitted. Anchor winch overhauled & new upgraded 12v motor fitted with remote module. New stabilizer flaps & fittings. 4 house batteries replaced. New Bennett trim tabs.
5 YEARS PRIOR: All front & side windows custom made and replaced. All Port latches replaced. Interior saloon head lining replaced, & windows re trimmed. Saloon lounge and dinette reupholstered. Custom Front bed comfort toppers added. Fly bridge seats enlarged for comfort & re trimmed. LED lighting fitted throughout the interior with feature mood lighting & LED cockpit light. New premium electric toilet, & 3 way bypass valve fitted. Shower pressure pump replaced. Shower sump pump replaced. Desalination system overhauled. Brand-new high-pressure pump fitted. Pressure pump doubles as a high-pressure cleaner. New water tank fitted. Fusion stereo system fitted. 12v Engel 55 lt Bar fridge fitted.
