About this vessel
Major price drop on this beautiful, safe, double-end, blue water cruiser! This is one of the last Slocum's ever built, hull #57 out of 60! The build is a well known true Bluewater Sailer with its long fin keel and skeg hung rudder. And what makes this particular vessel even better is that it has been upgraded, meticulously maintained and many add-ons installed versus the original build, such as repowered with a 75 HP Yanmar engine, an integrated generator added, and the basics set up and ready to add solar. Built at the Oh Hi shipyard in Taiwan, using meticulously sourced, gorgeous interior teak and beautiful handcrafted joinery makes her an inviting comfortable vessel any owner would be proud of.
All exterior teak decks were replaced in 2017. 6'4" headroom throughout. The aft cockpit is deep with cushions all around and well appointed. Owner's list of upgrades since 2022 includes new 20" Auto Prop, spare 15" Auto Prop removed and cleaned, ready for emergency use (onboard), new Cutlass bearing installed with shaft log inspected, new GS4 stainless shaft made by General Propeller in St. Petersburg, FL installed in prior haul out 2022/2023, new shaft saver with a Tides Marine dripless seal with 2 extra spare seals on the new shaft. This system allows the owner to change seals without hauling the boat and pulling the shaft. Each seal has a 5-year life usage approx. with correct engine/shaft alignment. New engine exhaust and clamps installed. New OEM heat exchanger with water bonnet with hoses and clamps. New Force 10 propane 3 burner gimbaled stove with new regulator and hoses. New Whynter Ice maker and dedicated Culligan Pre-Filter with water lines. New main Yanmar rear engine mounts and engine/shaft alignment. New Victron 30amp Blue Smart 120v charger system that charges and maintains the new AGM generator battery and the new AGM Group 31t starter battery for the Yanmar diesel engine while at dock. The system is isolated and can be turned On/Off and real-time battery state with the Victron Bluetooth app on your smartphone or with a dedicated On/Off 120v GFI house switch for safe and easy control.
Main Salon features a circular dinette to port with integrated wine cooler in the center, seating for 6, curved long settee to starboard, beautiful cabinetry throughout, long portlights with replaced safety tinted glass in 2015, many opening stainless steel port lights for great cross ventilation, overhead hatches (all rebedded 2017), LED lighting throughout, teak and holly floor throughout with locking floor access panels, built in locking drawers and filing cabinet, large amount of storage, overhead rod storage, plot table to starboard, AC/DC panel, monitoring of systems at plot table, redundancy in communication systems, gen set start at plot table.
Galley includes Force 10 stove/oven LPG with solenoid shut off, Whynter ice maker, Hamilton Beach microwave, stainless steel double sink, refrigerator/freezer (2025 new approx. 10k), cold plate fridge and freezer in cabinet boxes (original Grunert system was re-engineered to work with new plate system), custom provision storage, salt and freshwater foot pumps, wine glass rack, 5 drawers, ample provision storage space, slide out cutting board, slide out extra counter space, custom sink toppers for extra counter space.
Master Stateroom is aft of galley to port, just at bottom of companion way, queen Pullman bunk, 2 opening port lights, storage shelves, electric fan, extra "crew bunk" to starboard. Companion way cover is plexiglass for easy sightlines.
Guest Stateroom is V-berth master state room with custom bedding, LED lighting, overhead hatches, opening port lights for ventilation, hanging locker, drawers and cubby storage, 6 large under bunk drawers, extra bunk/storage under V-berth.
Head features custom decorative sink, separate shower/mini tub with seating, electric head with Purasan, storage, large mirror, 2 opening port lights.
