About this vessel
Imagine waking up to the sun rising over Waiheke, coffee in hand, the engines humming quietly beneath you as you set course for Great Barrier Island. This is the kind of adventure the John Lidgard 50ft powerboat was built for — and now, after a full 2025 refit, she's ready to take you there in comfort, style, and confidence.
Built in 1991 by B. Jones with a composite glass/ply and duocore hull, this NZ-designed vessel is made for our coastal conditions. She's strong, stable, and beautifully proportioned — perfect for exploring shallow bays or anchoring off secluded beaches.
The 2025 refit was extensive:
Partial exterior repaint, new interior upholstery, new tender, top-end engine rebuilds, partial rewire with new house and starter batteries and inverter.
Step inside and you'll find a warm, welcoming interior that sleeps 6 comfortably: a master cabin forward, a double to port, twin singles to starboard, and extra space in the expansive flybridge. There's a separate head and shower, and plenty of room to relax, entertain, or overnight with friends and family.
This is a rare opportunity to own a true NZ pedigree powerboat, restored to near-original condition. She's turnkey ready — just add fuel, plan your route, and go.
