Sovereign 40 Deck Saloon

The Sovereign range was built in Dartmouth by Western Approaches yachts, which later became Sovereign Yachts. The design brief for the Sovereign deck saloon was "to be a fast cruising vessel with classic good looks but with modern beam/length ratio, providing accommodation in three separate sleeping cabins without using the saloon". The yacht features a long fin keel with a bulbed foot carrying lead ballast, and a skeg-supported semi-balanced spade rudder.
