1994 Apache 41 for sale in Marine City, MI

The Apache 41 hull was designed by Bobby Saccenti in 1984 and made a dominating impact in the offshore racing world that same year, winning the 1985 APBA Class 2 World Championship. This hull is a true rough water tamer.

TATONKA was purchased in 2017 from the fourth owner in New Jersey in 100% original condition. The boat was then brought to Michigan where it underwent a comprehensive over-haul. Everything was stripped from the boat except for the cabin, with new Sterling 1100 motors, Velvet transmissions, Alcantara interior, Fusion Link stereo, JL speakers and sub, all gauges, Garmin GPS, new cockpit cover, and #6 dry sumps rebuilt by TNT with new bearings, seals, and drive shafts. The boat received all new paint, new stainless rub rail, and new LED nav lights, with paint done by T&D Custom Painting, rigging by Art Cook Marine, motors by Sterling Performance, drives by TNT, and interior by Appearance Products. A full mooring cover is included for storage or transportation.

In 2019 the drives were pulled and serviced at TNT with seals and gear sets replaced. The cabin interior was removed and two bulkheads were installed to stop bow flexing and prevent hairline cracks along the fairing. All six tires were replaced with new units. Bearings, seals, rotors, pads, and hydraulic over electric brake assembly were supplied and installed by MYCO, along with an electric jack stand.

In May 2022 a time belt blew on the port motor at 230 hours. Both motors, transmissions, and drives were pulled from the boat. Sterling completed rebuilds and TNT serviced the drives. All components were removed from the engine compartment for epoxy re-painting. All six pumps were relocated to the bow bulkhead for improved accessibility. The boat is now set up for a half cabin configuration, with all removed panels retained.

The boat has been run 13 hours since the 2022 work and has been stored inside heated storage throughout the owner's tenure. The owner has receipts for all work and the boat was surveyed last fall.
