Bluewater Cruising Yachts 400

Bluewater Cruising Yachts are certainly renowned as one of the best cruising yachts ever built in Australia. They are a true classic and highly sought after by discerning owners who are looking at safe coastal or serious offshore adventures.

Moana is one of the first built, overbuilt in many ways structurally and is the RS version with a semi raised saloon and higher roof that allows for great views from the main saloon area while keeping good looks and easy forward viewing from the cockpit. The cockpit is safe and spacious with all stainless steel Barient winches accessible here including an electric cabin top winch, storage and lifting table forward of the steering wheel. The deck and cockpit are all teak laid.

Inside is a lovely layout with the semi raised saloon bringing good ventilation and light with a raised dinette to port and inline galley to starboard. There is a chart table and single berth cabin to port aft. There is a double cabin with ensuite to starboard aft. Forward is the owners cabin with offset double to port and ensuite in the bow. There is plenty of storage and all is well thought out for extended cruising.

In 2022 the mast and rigging were removed and fully serviced including new wire, sheaves, spreaders, boom vang, headsail furler and all electrical wiring including lights. The deck hardware was updated and all running rigging was also replaced. All done with no expense spared by Riggtech on Sydney's pittwater.

The Yanmar 4JH5E 54HP shaft drive diesel and new gear box were fitted in 2019, they now have just under 150 hours and ensure safe propulsion when you need mechanical power.

Moana certainly needs some cosmetic work to some areas however the main components such as rigging and the engine are in excellent condition.

She is located at The Anchorage in Corlette, NSW, ready for new owners to take over and enjoy.
