Carolina 43 Blackwell Convertible

This 43' Custom Carolina Sportfisherman has undergone major refits in 2014 and 2023, with the vessel maintained in a boat lift in a brackish water environment. The boat is notably clean inside, outside, and in the engine room.

The vessel is powered by twin 2014 Cummins Factory Recons (6cta8.3) 430 hp each, reconditioned in June 2014 with 635 engine hours. The engines feature ZF Marine direct drive transmissions, dripless shaft seals, and VEEM 4-bladed high-performance propellers with performance insert strips. A Northern Lights diesel-powered generator also has 635 hours and was refurbished in 2023.

The 2014 refit included a new hardtop with aluminum framework, complete hull and deck repainting, new helm station, and a new satin-finished Cherry interior and cockpit layout. The 2023 refit added a full Garmin HD electronics package, new stainless steel water heater, new Victron Energy battery charger, and a new Salon reverse cycle heat and air conditioning unit. A custom three-sided polycarbonate helm enclosure with air vents was added in 2022.

The cockpit features a teak cover and coaming boards, teak toe rail, and teak brightly varnished brow. A very large transom fish box with cutting board on the underside of the lid is complemented by a mezzanine seating area with bait freezer and tackle storage. Cockpit engine room access is provided via a large hatch from the mezzanine floor. The salon features a faux teak sliding and lockable door with half window.

The interior is finished in satin American Cherry cabinetry and wall panels with a carpeted salon. The galley is located in the forward port area and includes a Solid Surface Corian countertop, Summit stainless steel under-counter refrigerator and freezer, Origo E200 glasstop electric stove, and undermount sink with designer faucet and sprayer. The salon features an L-shaped sofa with storage beneath and a starboard-side love seat, both with distressed Brisa leather upholstery. Lower accommodations include a port-side master cabin with double bed below and single upper bunk, and a forward stateroom with three bunks and a unique layout with an electrically actuated center bunk for rod storage and HVAC access. Both staterooms include heads with showers.
