About this vessel
'Harlequin', a Moody S336 Fin Keel, built in 1995, is a later Series II example of this highly successful Bill Dixon design, constructed by Marine Projects (Plymouth) under the Moody brand. Renowned for her balanced performance and solid build quality, the Moody 336 has earned an excellent reputation as both a capable cruiser and a competitive club racer, with numerous class successes at regattas. She offers six comfortable berths, a generous galley and an exceptionally spacious heads compartment, combining practicality with comfort in a way that remains as appealing today as when the model was first introduced. Volvo Penta MD2030 (1995), 29hp 3 Cylinder Fresh water cooled marine diesel engine, Volvo MS2LSD gearbox with conventional shaft drive to a Bruntons autoprop. Serviced regularly - last serviced in April 2025. Ambassador rope cutter on the shaft. Cruising Speed: 6 Knots Maximum Speed: 7 Knots.
Tankage: Water Capacity: 200 litres in 2 x Plastic tanks. Fuel Capacity: 100 litres in 1 x Steel tank.
Heating: Webasto EVO 3900 diesel heater with 4 outlets (Aft cabin, heads, saloon, and forecabin) - fitted in May 2011.
Electrical Systems: 3 x 12v Batteries (2 x 110ah & 1 x 70ah)- Switched 240v Shore power inc shore support cable Sterling Galvanic isolator Newmar RM20 20amp battery charger 60ah engine alternator 4 x 13 amp sockets - aft cabin, saloon, and forecabin
Water System: Full pressurised running hot and cold water system. Faucets provided in galley and heads. Separate full shower also in heads. Hot water provided via engine fed calorifier and 240 volt 1.25Kw immersion heater.
Gas System: Two calor 907 camping gaz bottles secured within gas locker in port cockpit locker.
Deck stepped, twin spreader, masthead sloop rig. Selden silver anodised alloy mast and spars. Stainless steel 1x19 wire standing rigging - *Due for replacement. Furlex roller reefing system on forestay. Running rigging - mix of braid-on-braid and Dyneema Slab reefing mainsail - 3 reefing points Telescopic pole stowed on forward face of mast. Halyards lead aft to cockpit. Rope clutches port & starboard sides of companionway Lazyjacks for the mainsail.

Summary of accommodation from forward:
Forward Cabin - Two single berths in a V-configuration with central infill section creating large double bunk. Standing room at aft end of bunk with storage lockers outboard to port and hanging locker to starboard. Overhead lockers run the length of the bunks outboard. A large opening deck hatch provides light and ventilation.
Saloon - Centrally mounted, double drop leaf saloon table, bottle storage provided in the central section of the table. Bench style settee seating on the starboard side with wrap around C-shaped settee to port. Both settee's convert to occasional berths. Storage provided outboard of the seating overhead and behind the seat backs. Additional storage beneath the starboard saloon settee.
Nav Station - Located at the aft end of the saloon to starboard. Aft facing chart table which utilises the aft end of the starboard settee as a navigators seat. Storage provided within the table and in drawers beneath. Ships switch panel.
Galley - To port of the companionway. J-shaped galley worktop. Atlantic Stove (two burners, grill and oven) mounted below worktop aft with infill panel to create additional worktop space when required. Top loading fridge below worktop. Twin stainless steel sinks forward. Below worktop refuse bin concealed under worktop inboard.
Heads - Self-contained heads compartment to starboard of the companionway. Aft facing manual marine toilet at the forward end of the compartment. Wash hand basin and vanity units outboard. Full standing shower cubicle at the aft end of the compartment with a seat.
Aft Cabin - The master cabin is a hidden gem occupying the majority of the space aft of the companionway. Accessed through a door in the galley. Standing room provided forward to port. Storage lockers and L-shaped seating provided. Large double bunk extends outboard to starboard. Storage shelf running the length of the bunk outboard to starboard. Light and ventilation from opening ports.
