Dennis Ganley Custom Raw Cotton

Raw Cotton is a serious bluewater cruising yacht designed by the late Dennis Ganley and built in steel for strength, safety and offshore capability. Launched in 1995 and professionally extended in 2002, she presents classic lines, a purposeful profile and the reassuring feel of a true passagemaker.

Over her lifetime the vessel has benefited from significant investment. A major refit period between 2018 and 2021 saw the installation of electric winches, twin Seldén Furlex furling systems, Raymarine Axiom Pro 12" and 9" displays, new autopilot, Victron power management equipment and renewed battery banks. In 2020 she was professionally repainted in Fiji in Midnight Blue Awlgrip and extensive teak refurbishment was completed, with further teak work forward of the dodger undertaken in 2023.

Her cutter rig, aluminium mast and 2015 standing rigging reflect her offshore focus, while a 140hp Ford diesel and Northern Lights generator provide dependable auxiliary power. With 1200L fuel capacity and substantial displacement, she is built for passagemaking in comfort.

Below decks, Raw Cotton offers a practical two cabin layout accommodating up to six. The forward cabin features bunks, the master cabin provides a queen berth and additional saloon seating converts for sea berths. A secure L-shaped galley is positioned at the companionway for offshore cooking, complemented by a dedicated navigation station and generous tankage beneath the sole.

She has cruised extensively throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific including New Caledonia, Fiji and Stewart Island, demonstrating her capability in a wide range of conditions.

Currently offered strictly on an as-is, where-is basis, the vessel has been inactive and will require recommissioning.
