Overview
About this vessel
The Bayliner 3988 was among the most successful motoryachts of its era — a roomy, sensibly arranged cruiser built in volume by US Marine and a perennial favorite on the inland and coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest. Built on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull, she delivers an easy, stable ride together with the kind of interior volume that makes time aboard genuinely comfortable. Twin diesels, upper and lower helm stations, and a walk-around deck layout make her straightforward to handle and a natural platform for extended cruising in protected and coastal waters.
TIGRESS carries the desirable twin Cummins 6BTA 5.9 diesel package — 330 hp each — through Hurth marine gears, with Hynautic hydraulic steering, Bennett trim tabs, and an electric bow thruster for confident close-quarters handling. Belowdecks she sleeps four in two private staterooms served by two enclosed heads, with a full galley and a bright, open salon featuring an elevated dinette and the lower helm. Above, the command bridge offers a second helm and comfortable guest seating.
TIGRESS has benefited from extensive recent updating, both mechanical and cosmetic. Engine work includes new fuel injectors, new air cleaners, a valve job, new alternators, and cleaned aftercoolers, while the interior has been refreshed throughout with new luxury vinyl plank flooring, refinished brightwork, and freshly painted cabinetry. Both helm stations have been rebuilt with new teak dashboards, new gauges, and new accessory switching, and new SeaDek decking and a fresh buff and wax complete the picture of a boat that reflects the care of an attentive owner.
