About this vessel
Catalina Yachts are renowned for their high build quality, impressive sailing performance, and innovative designs. The 320 has been one of their most popular designs with over 1200 built, making it the most successfully production yacht of this size. With their exceptionally spacious layout, balanced performance, and offshore capability, it is little wonder why they remain so highly sought after. Easily managed by a novice learning the ropes, with the performance to delight even the most discerning sailor, these versatile yachts also excel at social racing, and even as comfortable liveaboards. "Storm Bay" is an excellent example of the design, having been under its current experienced ownership since 2011. During this time it has been cruised extensively from NSW to South Australia, and most recently around the stunning waters of Southern Tasmania. The vessel has been very well maintained and extensively upgraded including NEW 2020 STANDING RIGGING, NEW 2020 FURLING GENOA, NEW 2020 TENDER, NEW 2026 HOUSE AND ENGINE START BATTERIES, 3000W INVERTED ADDED, NEW 2024 CLEARS IN THE SPRAY DODGER, NEW 2023 HOT WATER SYSTEM INSTALLED, the list goes on. Stepping inside, the interior space really has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The abundant natural light and quality timber trims create and warm and welcoming ambience. The spacious saloon features a generous dinette with seating for 6 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. To port is the well appointed galley. This is very well equipped with a large 12V fridge with freezer compartment, two burner gas stove with oven, double bowl stainless steel sink with H/C pressurised water, and extensive storage for extended stays onboard. The accommodation is a great feature of the design and is ideal for cruising with friends and family. Forward is the impressive owner's cabin, with a double V-berth, ample storage, and 12V outlets. There is also a second private double cabin is aft, plus there two additional berths in the saloon when required. The package is complete with a full bathroom with H/C Shower, toilet with holding tank, and vanity.
Outside, the cockpit is a great space to relax in comfort, with the spray dodger, bimini, and infill providing excellent protection from the elements. The vessel is very well set up to be easily managed short handed with the furling headsail, main the boom bag with lazy jacks, all lines lead back to the cabin top, and the Raymarine autopilot. Having been cruised extensively, the vessel is superbly set up with a quality tender and outboard, gas BBQ, electric anchor winch, solar panels, quality safety equipment, and even additional water storage for longer range cruising.
This vessel is powered by a well maintained and reliable Yanmar 3GM30F 27HP Diesel Engine. This provides easy and economical cruising at 5 to 6 knots.
