About this vessel
The Nordhavn 46 “Salish Aire” is a later hull (#50) of the proven 46 model. The model that made Nordhavn what it is today! The original quintessential Nordhavn 46 was the boat of Robert Beebe's dreams. Her hurricane diesel heat system will make the upcoming fall and winter cruising season pleasant and comfortable, no matter where you are. Having just returned from cruising the entire Inside Passage for three summers, this Nordhavn 46 is turnkey, in beautiful shape, and ready to go on the next adventure.
“Salish Aire”, is the plan “B” layout, with the owner’s stateroom forward. As you enter the saloon from the cockpit, to starboard is a long settee with a storage cabinet, located forward. To port, there is a U-shaped dinette with a custom teak dining table on a telescoping stainless pedestal. When lowered, the table forms a queen berth. The galley is forward of the dinette. At the forward end of the saloon are steps up to the pilothouse; custom bookshelves with removable teak battens line the wall along the stairs. Proceeding down stairs to the staterooms is a hallway from the saloon. The guest stateroom is to port, with upper and lower berths, desk, hanging locker and drawers. The lower berth pulls out to make a double berth. The main engine room entrance is accessed through a larger N50 engine room door (there are also removable saloon sole hatches). Ventilation is provided by two opening portlights and a dorade vent and forced air system. Across from the GSR is the guest head with separate stall shower.
Leading forward takes you into the owner’s stateroom. As you enter the stateroom, to the port is the washer/dryer. To starboard is the OSR head with separate stall shower. The OSR boasts an island berth with a custom HMC “pillow top” mattress, settee and dresser. The baseboard for the berth has been fitted with gas struts, providing easy access under the berth. There are two hanging lockers, one is especially large and is to starboard. Ventilation and natural light is superb, since there are three Lewmar Ocean Series hatches, a dorade and two opening portlights. The main Lewmar hatch over the OSR berth has an OceanAire screen with block out shade and screen. The pilothouse has a watch berth that pulls out to make a large single; there is a fixed table and settee. Note: All original interior overhead lighting has been replaced with Italian, Cantalupi LED lighting. There are red Cantalupi lights in the pilothouse overhead for night work too. The interior fabrics are leather.
