About this vessel
The Poseidon is a carbon fiber composite CM 60 offshore racing sailboat designed by Bruce Farr and built by Carroll Marine in 1998. She is currently moored in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. The yacht's previous names were Hi Fling, Numbers and Stars & Stripes. She was sailed from San Diego to New Zealand and competed in local races.
She features loads of interior space and a large workable cockpit, with an exciting and easily handled character. The yacht is very fast for its size with excellent handling ability, emphasizing light-air performance with substantial downwind sail area. The deck layout is designed for racing with twin wheels and twin primary grinder pedestals. She is a competitive IRC racer.
The current owners have moved on to other vessels after five years of ownership. A custom cradle has been built for her and will be included as part of the sale for shipping if needed.
