About this vessel
This Maxi 1000, named "Blue Haze", has been in the current ownership since 2019 and has been well maintained during the current and former ownerships.
The vessel is powered by a Volvo Penta MD2020S three-cylinder inboard diesel engine which has been serviced annually, most recently in 2024. It features a Saildrive with Kiwi prop feathering propeller and rope cutter.
The rig is a deck stepped fractional sloop with a Selden single spreader mast with single line slab reefing boom and sprung kicker. The standing rigging was last replaced in 2008. It is equipped with a Furlex 200S headsail furling system. The sails include a Mainsail, furling self-tacking jib, furling Genoa, and cruising chute with snuffer, all from Dolphin Sails 2008. A blue stack pack sail cover with Lazyjacks is also fitted.
Navigation equipment includes a Silva type 125 compass, Raymarine C70 chartplotter, Raymarine ST60 Speed, Raymarine ST60 Depth, Raymarine ST60 Windspeed/direction, Raymarine ST5000+ Autopilot, iCom M-411 DSC VHF radio, AIS transponder (Send and Receive), and Radiotelex weatherman.
The accommodation includes 6/7 berths distributed across the forward cabin, saloon and aft cabin. The forward cabin has a V-berth with infill to make double, storage cupboards, deck hatch and shelving. The saloon features a U-shaped seating area on the port side that pulls out to create a double berth, folding table with bottle storage, bench seating on the starboard side, storage cupboards, chart table and seat, and deck hatch. The aft cabin has a large double berth with tailor-made mattress protectors and sheets, large wardrobe, reading lights and shelving. The galley has twin sinks with hot and cold pressurised water heated by engine and 240v, Isotherm fridge, and Plastimo Neptune 2500 two burner hob and grill. The heads feature a Jabsco manual toilet, washbasin with pull out shower, storage cupboards and mirror. Mikhuni diesel hot air cabin heating is installed throughout.
The hull is white GRP with a cast iron fin keel and semi-balanced spade rudder. Teak has been laid on the side decks and cockpit, with internal GRP moulding and American Cherry internal joinery.
Deck equipment includes mooring lines, fenders, self-draining aft cockpit, bathing platform, swim ladder, Bruce anchor with chain and warp, double bow roller, sprayhood, cockpit enclosure and full winter cover.
