Palmer Johnson 100
Overview
About this vessel
Palmer Johnson is an iconic brand with a heritage of over 100 years of boatbuilding, with its first wooden yacht launched in 1928 in Sturgeon Bay, WI on the Great Lakes, and military support vessels during WWII. The original company was sold in 1956 and renamed Palmer Johnson after the founder's son. During the 1960s, Palmer Johnson was one of the pioneers of aluminum yacht construction and set records with the 100' aluminum yacht built in 1972 for King Juan Carlos of Spain, for her length and 46 knot speed—fastest in the world for over a decade! In the recent past decades, Palmer Johnson has become renowned for its high-performance superyachts. Today, under new ownership headquartered in Monaco, Palmer Johnson builds three contemporary carbon fiber series of yachts in Pisa, Italy.
Legendary C. Raymond Hunt, one of the most widely recognized and respected names in naval architecture to this day, is credited with the naval architecture and exterior design of the 1999 FORTUNA (previously named Madcap and Twisted Pair), among his several superyacht designs for Palmer Johnson. Interior design was done by Palmer Johnson's in-house designers at the Sturgeon Bay facility. This beautiful classic Palmer Johnson exhibits the brand's core values of excellent design, performance, and emotional appeal. Exterior and interior spaces flow together for a completely enjoyable yachting experience.
