About this vessel
EMESE is a nice clean Catalina 36 MKII. Powered by a 35hp Universal Diesel with a low 625 hours, she is outfitted with Raymarine electronics featuring Autopilot, ST60 Knotmeter, ST60 Depth and ST60 Wind. All lines lead aft to cockpit, making her easy to sail. The spacious cockpit features a nice set of cockpit cushions and a dodger to keep everyone warm and dry.
The interior features two comfortable cabins and a well-appointed head, providing ample space for relaxation and privacy. The Catalina 36 MKII is easily handled by a couple without the need for crew. The deck is a classic trunk cabin configuration—proven, comfortable and functional. The main cabin and galley have been designed with attention to detail. The galley is a functional U-shape with composite countertops; the sinks are near centerline for proper drainage underway. A large refrigerated ice box is aft and a dry food locker is forward. A gimballed stainless steel LPG stove with oven is complemented with a microwave. The main cabin features a spacious dinette that converts to a huge cruising or guest berth.
There are two private cabins, which many owners consider them both to be master staterooms. The aft cabin features a large athwartship double berth, hanging locker and bureau. The owners cabin features a large berth with custom mattress topper and a private entrance to the head. The main cabin is arranged with a U-shaped galley and dinette, convertible into a queen-sized cushioned area. To starboard is a game table with two seats. The private guest stateroom with a queen size berth is located aft on the starboard side.
The interior is warm and inviting with excellent natural light and ventilation through multiple fixed windows, overhead hatches and opening portlights. The all-teak interior with teak staving, shelves and storage lockers adds to the organized look and feel. The head and shower compartment is spacious for a 36-foot yacht. There is good ventilation throughout the boat and ample drawers, lockers and bins for all cruising provisions.
The main cabin and all interior teak has the warmth and durability of multiple coats of varnish. The mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems have been engineered for dependability and accessibility. Engine access is excellent. The hull is rugged, hand-laminated, solid fiberglass; the keel is lead with integrally cast stainless steel bolts. The mast is stepped through the deck on the keel with inline spreaders and fore and aft lower shrouds.
Whether you're an experienced sailor or new to the sport, EMESE promises to be a dependable companion on your nautical adventures.
