Farr 38

Alliance is a Farr 38 Sports built by Binks Yacht Constructions and launched in March 2000. Her current owner has undertaken many upgrades as of late and built her into a more friendly boat for cruising. The addition of a furling Genoa, auto pilot, B&G chart plotter in the cockpit and upgraded battery and electrical systems, she is ready to cruise quite comfortably or to get back into the club racing circuit.

She runs a Volvo 2030 diesel with sail drive leg with a fin lead bulk keel giving fantastic upwind performance.

The current owner went above and beyond and fabricated a dry dock jinker so he could keep her out of the water while not cruising, this has meant for the last couple of years she has been kept out of the salt water. Although Alliance was raced out of the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia for many years she presents in amazing condition, her interior is fresh and you can tell has been well cared for, the keel bolts have been done and are reinforced making her a very stiff and strong boat. In previous years the bow was professionally modified giving slightly more water line and again enhancing her upwind capability.
