2000 Nordhavn 46 for sale in Seward, Alaska
Overview
About this vessel
"Four Seasons" is hull #70 of the legendary Nordhavn 46 model. Her asking price fairly reflects her level of equipment, post-factory customization, and the care and maintenance taken by her owners, and her equipment specification has kept her current for extended cruising in any latitude. Pride of ownership is apparent in every space.
While she is particularly well equipped for high latitude cruising, the equipment complement—custom anchor roller for nesting two self-launching anchors, hydronic heat, and extended boat deck—would serve well in any region or trans-oceanic passage.
The interior layout is owner's stateroom-forward, guest cabin midship.
Soft goods include bed linens, window shades in the main salon, as well as dishes in the galley.
On deck, the extended boat deck is unique to "Four Seasons". It extends to the transom, which adds to the ease of handling the tender when launching or retrieving, and also provides a secure anchor point for the canvas cockpit enclosure.
Reading through the specifications below will show that many of the longer interval maintenance items have been addressed.
If you are one who has lamented the cessation of the Nordhavn 46 production, consider this singular example. "Four Seasons" is comfortable, cruise-ready, and a yacht to make you a proud owner.
The main salon is a comfortable gathering place, with a reverse-L dinette settee on the port side, new settee and chair cushions from 2020, and a Dickenson Marine "Alaska" natural draft diesel heater with custom heat shield from 2015.
The owner's stateroom-forward features walk-around access to a centerline queen bed with memory foam mattress and fitted spread. Two deep hinged trap storage lockers sit at the head of the bed, with two halogen-reading lamps above. A changing seat with piano hinged top and plastic-lined clothes hamper is aft on the port side, along with a vanity with mirror. Three deck hatches with Oceanaire screen-and-blind systems provide controlled light and ventilation.
The owner's head includes a Surell "Graphite" countertop with undermount sink, a separate shower stall with seat and storage locker, a Grohe shower fixture, and two opening ports.
The guest stateroom portside features upper and lower berths, with the lower configured to pull out to nearly queen size. Engine room access is from this cabin. A reverse-cycle heating/cooling unit in the forward cabin is ducted to the midship cabin and heads (2024).
The guest head includes a Surell "Graphite" countertop with undermount sink, Masterflush head with freshwater flush, a separate shower stall with seat and storage locker, a Grohe shower fixture, and an opening port in the shower.
The galley counter runs athwartship and is covered with Surell with a 5" teak cap. Organized storage includes an overhead locker over the galley counter and several below. The galley features a Force 10 propane stove and oven, two Vitrifrigo AC/DC drawer-style refrigerator and freezer units installed in 2015, Surell countertops, a convection microwave oven, and a garbage compactor.
The pilothouse is configured as a command center and gathering place. The instrument console has plenty of surface area for the comprehensive array of electronics. A settee and dinette aft of the control console provide comfortable seating and a great vantage point for watch keeping, with a fold-up extension on the port side. A pilot berth above and aft of the settee pulls out into a double. A folding teak bench seat is integrated into the starboard side of the console adjacent to the work surface and laptop workstation. Full-sized chart drawers sit below the workstation. New settee cushions were installed in 2017.
The deck layout includes the usual Nordhavn features: the Portuguese bridge wrapping around the forward end of the pilothouse, bulwarks on the foredeck, and a raised boat deck aft of the pilothouse. The extended boat deck extends to the transom, easing tender launching and retrieving and providing a secure anchor point for the canvas cockpit enclosure.
