About this vessel
If you're searching for a true offshore-capable motor yacht with pedigree, performance, and recent upgrades, MV Kahala demands your attention.
Built in New Zealand, the Salthouse name is synonymous with quality construction and vessels designed to handle real ocean conditions. Renowned for producing serious, long-range motor yachts, Salthouse boats are purpose-built—not mass-produced—and Kahala is a prime example.
Currently lying in Port Lincoln, South Australia, Kahala is set up for liveaboard sports fishing, with her current owner enjoying extended offshore trips targeting the elusive Southern Bluefin Tuna.
MV Kahala offers comfortable, practical accommodation for extended cruising or liveaboard use, featuring three cabins and multiple bathrooms. The master V-berth cabin is located forward and includes its own private en-suite. To starboard is a double-bunk cabin, while the port side features a twin-berth cabin, ideal for guests or crew. In addition, the vessel is equipped with a day/shared bathroom and head, as well as a convenient on-deck bathroom and head, making her well-suited for offshore fishing trips and extended time at sea.
Designed for comfortable extended stays onboard with three Eutectic fridges, two Eutectic freezers, ice maker, Miele stove, Miele microwave, Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, and an Aqua Whisper watermaker producing 100L/hr.
Powered by twin Cummins QSM11 engines, shaft-driven and fed by an impressive 7,200 litres of diesel, Kahala offers excellent cruising performance and genuine long-range capability. The vessel features two generators, electronic engine controls, Racor fuel filtration, fuel transfer pump, bow thruster, and trim tabs. Air conditioning is installed throughout the yacht.
A custom fishing station is located on the aft deck.
