Mainship Pilot 34 Sedan
Overview
About this vessel
A number of years ago, PowerBoat Guide noted, "The Pilots are a series of downeast-style runabout cruisers whose practical layouts and affordable prices have catapulted into the rank of 'classics'. They're suited to a variety of uses, and their economical operation and comfortable accommodations appeal especially to weekend cruisers." The Guide doesn't even mention the oh-so-sweet lines or sea kindly solid fiberglass hull or the fact that there's NO exterior brightwork to maintain!
This particular very nice example is economically powered by a single Yanmar diesel, and it is the Sedan version which has the extended hard enclosure; this, combined with the glass side windows and isinglass aft drop-curtain, makes her useable (and even ENJOYABLE!) in boisterous Bay conditions.
The boat was extensively renewed about three years ago, including the hull being Awlgripped in striking Flag Blue LPU with a white boat strip, all new upholstery inside and out, new flooring on the bridge deck and cockpit, new canvas, and updated electronics, and shows beautifully.
