2001 Perini Navi 40M for sale in Monaco, Monte Carlo

This PERINI NAVI 40M luxury sailing yacht is the second of the Italian Yard's 40m series. Built by Perini Navi in 2001, she was subsequently comprehensively refitted in 2015, 2020, 2021 and more recently in 2025. She was a 2001 International Superyacht Society Design Award finalist for Best Sailing Yachts over 36 metres.

The yacht's interiors are in warm cherry with exquisite carvings, designed by Perini Navi and timeless in character. They are complemented by beautiful furniture and sumptuous seating, which create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere—a true Gentleman's sailing yacht.

The vessel was expertly maintained and benefitted from a comprehensive overhaul in 2015, which included new sails, fresh paint on the masts, superstructure, hull and bottom. The bottom and internal tanks were sandblasted to bare metal and recoated. New teak decks were installed. All systems were replaced or serviced, including hydraulics, winches, HVAC, refrigeration, NavCom and A/V. Complete starboard gearbox maintenance and regular engine maintenance were completed. The AC unit was replaced. Charts and radio were checked and updated, and all safety equipment was inspected.

She has been fitted with Spectra sails by North Sails (new in 2016) with a total sail area of 812 m², along with a Perini Navi sail monitoring system. The rig consists of two Perini Navi masts in light alloy, fully painted in 2016, with an elliptical section and internal lead ways. All stainless-steel standing and running rigging was replaced in 2016. The masts are equipped with Perini Navi electric furling systems, which were overhauled and restored to like new in 2016.

She is propelled by twin 469 Hp MTU diesel engines (overhauled in 2016) giving a top speed of 12.9 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. The yacht features a Schottel bow thruster, feathering propellers, and an impressive range of 3,300 nautical miles at cruising speed.

The main deck features a saloon, dining area and wheelhouse, while the lower deck houses a fully equipped galley and crew mess. Accommodation includes a master cabin amidships with study/salon, en-suite bathroom with bathtub and dressing room; a VIP cabin to starboard; a twin guest cabin to port; and a twin forward guest cabin. The crew accommodates up to 6 members in 3 cabins including a double Captain's cabin and two bunk-bedded crew cabins.

The yacht is equipped with comprehensive systems including a Condaria air conditioning system, two Northern Lights 66 kW generators plus one 35 kW emergency generator, two Idromar water makers (3,100 litres per day each), and an Alfa Laval fuel separator. Navigation equipment includes C. Plath gyrocompass, Navipilot autopilot, electronic compass, Furuno and Raymarine GPS/plotters, and magnetic compass. Communication includes Sailor VHF, Skanti SSB, and portable VHF handhelds.

Entertainment systems are fitted throughout the yacht, including televisions, DVD and Blu-ray players, stereo systems with multi-CD players, and JBL and Bose loudspeakers in various areas. Galley equipment includes Miele, Gaggenau and Hozhizaki appliances, whilst laundry facilities feature Miele washing machines, dryers and a roller iron.

Deck equipment includes two anchor windlasses, Perini Navi captive winches, Antal winches, and Perini Navi drum winches controlling the rig. A hydraulic telescopic stern gangway and side-boarding ladder provide access. Safety equipment includes a CO2 firefighting system, three 8-man inflatable life rafts, life jackets, and signal rockets.

The yacht carries two tenders: a 5.4m Ribex tender and a 3.4m Novurania tender with 15 Hp outboard engine.
