Overview
About this vessel
A fast open bridge deck design that has competed in various races and is now presented in excellent order. Strip planked cedar construction allows for a super lightweight build. The boat has been recently fully stripped back and modified to improve stiffness and performance.
The current owner has upgraded the following: new aluminium beams, carbon central pod for engine housing and storage, carbon composite compression strut and prodder, new nets, new squabs, new mainsail and self tacking jib by GP Sails. Step up transom for easy access on and off dock or to a tender. Transom hung rudders on carbon gantries, new deck hatches, and Dyneema rigging. All is presented in good, clean order.
The mast can be raised and lowered on the water or on a trailer.
A powerful but forgiving boat, it has survived 36 knot squalls in the Solent and sails well with just a furled Genoa in strong winds. Very shallow draft allows easy exploration up creeks and rivers where other boats cannot go.
