Custom Super 30
Overview
About this vessel
This 2002 Super 30 is a proven twilight and club racer that combines strong performance with sensible ownership and easy maintenance. Designed by Will Hardcastle, who began his career with the renowned Rob Humphreys Design office in the UK, this custom built yacht delivers pedigree design with impressive real world results.
Built using epoxy construction with a cedar core hull and Duracore deck, the yacht is lightweight, stiff, and exceptionally well balanced, tipping the scales at just 2,850 kg. Stability is provided by a lead bulb on a steel keel, delivering confidence and control upwind while maintaining excellent downwind performance.
The sail inventory is extensive and race ready, featuring North Aramid sails including four headsails and two symmetric spinnakers, giving excellent flexibility across a wide range of conditions. The yacht also carries a current Category 7 safety certificate, making it fully compliant for club and twilight racing.
This is not just a design that looks good on paper. It continues to deliver results on the water, including a division win at the 2024 Pittwater Regatta under ORC, sailing with an All Purpose spinnaker handicap of 548.2.
Recent maintenance has been taken care of, with new standing rigging installed in July last year, along with a fresh antifoul and engine service. The yacht is ready to be raced immediately by its next owner.
An excellent opportunity for sailors looking for a competitive, well sorted club racer that is easy to own and consistently performs.
