About this vessel
The Hunter 466 is a 45-foot monohull sailboat designed by Hunter Design Team and built by Hunter Marine starting in 2002. It is a spacious and comfortable cruising boat designed for long-distance sailing and living aboard.
Patriot is a meticulously upgraded blue-water cruiser designed for complete independence. Having just completed a seven-month fine-tuning cruise through the Sea of Cortez in 2024, every system has been tested, refined, and optimized for long-term living.
Unlike standard Hunter 466s, Patriot has been professionally refitted with a massive Victron Lithium power plant and 1200W of solar, allowing you to run your life indefinitely without hearing a generator. This is the rare two-cabin layout, trading a cramped third cabin for a massive walk-in workshop and laundry room, making it the gold standard for couples who want to live aboard comfortably.
The boat is well-equipped for independence and adventure, with a modern Starlink Gen 3 system for remote professionals, a Cruise RO 40 GPH watermaker for extended cruising, and a 2024 Highfield 340 Aluminum RIB tender with 25HP Yamaha. Safety gear is current, including an Ocean Liferaft certified to 2027 and an ACR EPIRB. A transferable slip is available in San Carlos, Mexico.
