About this vessel
Radford 50 sailing yacht named Pekljus, designed by Graham Radford and built by McIntyre Marine in Australia in 2004. The hull is made of Fibreglass/GRP Composite Vinylester and corecell laminate with a Balsa Core Fibreglass Composite deck. It features a Yanmar 33 HP Diesel Saildrive engine and a stainless steel fuel tank with 120L capacity. The accommodation includes six bunks with two removable pipe cots, a single stainless steel sink in the galley, a microwave, an opening 12V built-in fridge, a JABSCO electric toilet with sea water flush, and air conditioning. The yacht is equipped with boom cover, cockpit cover, and wheel cover. Safety gear includes electric and manual bilge pumps.
Electronics and navigation equipment include Raymarine GPS chart plotter, GPS antenna on deck, autopilot, HF and VHF radios with antennas for VHF, FM and AIS, integrated satellite phone, and AIS Class B transponder linked to the chart plotter. Lighting consists of 12V LED interior lighting and LED navigation lights. The yacht has an inverter/charger and lithium ion house batteries.
The sail inventory as of 06/07/21 includes a variety of upwind sails such as Code 1 jib/Genoa, Code 1.5 Jib, Code 2.5 Jib, Code 3 blade, Code 4 heavy weather jib, storm jib, and Code 0 upwind sail on furler. Downwind sails include lightweight Code 0, Ex TP52 Jib - J2, Regatta Offshore Mainsail, Workhorse Offshore Mainsail, Storm Trisail, and several A-series sails (A2, A2.5, A3(A), A3(B), A4) with various specifications and conditions. The mast and rigging feature an aluminum twin swept spreader rig, aluminum boom, 1x19 wire, bow sprit with integrated tack lines, self-tacking jib system (currently not fitted), Harken MkIII and MkIV structural furlers, and hydraulic backstay adjuster. Deck gear includes full Harken fit out water (potable), 2 x Harken electric cabintop winches, 2 x Harken electric primary winches, 2 x Harken 57 mainsheet winches, and Spinlock jammers.
