Overview
About this vessel
Well-equipped and thoughtfully upgraded, this 2005 Catalina 36 is a comfortable and capable cruiser ready for extended coastal adventures or live-aboard life. With only 1,602 engine hours and a long list of recent upgrades, this vessel has been maintained with reliability, efficiency, and ease of sailing in mind.
The boat features a robust off-grid electrical setup including 400 watts of solar, a 705Ah lithium battery bank, Victron charge controller, and a 1,800W Xantrex inverter, providing excellent autonomy whether at anchor or underway.
Sailing is simple and efficient with in-mast furling on the mainsail and a furling genoa (replaced in 2016), making short-handed cruising easy and stress-free. A 3-blade propeller delivers smooth power and dependable manoeuvrability, while the Hummingbird forward-facing depth sounder adds confidence when navigating unfamiliar waters.
Recent maintenance includes engine heat exchanger replaced in 2025, March 2025 haul out with fresh Micron CSC bottom paint, new sanitation hoses, 300 feet of new Titan G4 5/16" anchor chain, and 8ft Highfield CL310 Aluminum bottom dinghy with stainless steel davits.
Comfort aboard is enhanced with a nice cockpit enclosure, creating a protected and inviting outdoor living space in all seasons.
An added bonus: the boat currently occupies a desirable 44-foot dock slip on the outside of the protected marina, which may be assumable by the new owner if desired.
