Hinckley Picnic Boat EP

This 2005 Hinckley Picnic Boat EP features an extended pilothouse design with recent cosmetic upgrades including new cushions in the pilothouse and cockpit reupholstered in classic navy and white Sunbrella fabric, and fresh varnish applied in 2021.

The exterior showcases Flag Blue Awlgrip topsides with light cream gelcoat cabin house and deck, complemented by a light cream double bootstripe and red bottom. The deck is appointed with a flush foredeck anchor locker, rounded tapered varnished teak toe rail, varnished teak eyebrow molding around the cabin top, and varnished teak handrails. Four elliptical opening ports with screens line the house sides, and five low-profile opening aluminum hatches with removable screens provide ventilation throughout. Custom Hinckley 316L stainless steel bow chocks, mooring cleats, and fender padeyes complete the deck hardware.

The extended pilothouse features teak-finished upper sides and dash with four green-tinted windows including two sliding side windows and two fixed forward windows with self-parking intermittent windshield wipers and fresh water washers. An insulated white overhead includes four acrylic opening hatches with Ocean Air Sky screen shades. The pilothouse accommodates Stidd 500N Admiral Slimline helm and passenger seats finished in cream ultra-leather, with a custom varnished teak handrail running the centerline and additional handrails at the aft outboard ends. A triangular varnished teak table on a removable pedestal hinges open to form a larger square.

The cockpit features a teak-capped coaming with partial teak package, molded-in nonskid with direct overboard drainage scuppers, and cockpit lockers with varnished louvered teak doors. A cockpit shower with mixing valve is integrated into the forward face of the stern seat port side. A full ivory-color cockpit cover attaches to the pilothouse with snaps.

The helm station includes a custom varnished teak instrument pod and stainless steel 14" steering wheel with varnished wood rim, with engine gauges and top-opening chart storage. The Hinckley JetStick control system is integrated with the bow thruster for enhanced maneuvering.

Interior accommodations feature satin-varnished cherry sheathing throughout with a varnished teak and tulipwood cabin sole. The galley is appointed with a sandstone Corian countertop, stainless steel sink with Grohe fixtures, hot and cold pressure water, Adler Barbour 12-volt cold plate refrigeration, and a Force 10 two-burner stainless steel stove with propane shut-off and wood cover cutting board. A 600-watt 110-volt microwave is built in outboard. The head features a solid cherry door, varnished cherry countertop with undermounted porcelain sink, Grohe faucet with hand-held shower, Sealand Vacu-Flush electric marine head plumbed to a 27-gallon aluminum holding tank, and cherry-faced storage lockers. The forward V-berth is a double berth with insert and navy and white stripe Sunbrella cushions, with storage lockers, a forepeak locker, and a hanging locker to starboard.

The electrical system includes three 12-volt batteries totaling 540-amps with an 80-amp battery alternator, a heavy-duty battery parallel switch, and both 12-volt and 110-volt AC systems with inverter/battery charger. The mechanical systems center on a 2005 Yammer six-cylinder 440-hp diesel engine with Hamilton 292 jet drive, ZF IRM220PL reduction transmission, and a Vetus 7" 12-volt reversible bow thruster. Custom wet-exhaust muffler system and Yammer fuel filter/water separator complete the propulsion.
