Abcat Sports Fisherman
Overview
About this vessel
The Abcat boats were designed by Dennis Walsh and were all built to survey, many of them still serving today for Fisheries. This Vessel originally built as a half cab, went through a hull up rebuild at a cost of over $40,000. City and Colour in Geraldton are responsible for the re-spray which looks amazing.
The Centre Console design features a 2m x 2.7m casting deck forward with twin fish holds or storage lockers, wide centre console, twin Relaxn helm chairs and full width hard top keeping everyone aft of the console under cover. A new 'Stressfree' drum anchor winch with 10m chain and 50m rope sits on the bow. Electronics on board are a new Simrad NSS12 evo3S MFD (2021) and a 2kw transducer (note Furuno FCV 1150 Sounder available by separate negotiation). If you've fished with a Sat Compass you'll never go back and this Abcat is fitted with a 2021 Furuno Sat Compass.
Mechanically, the 2020 Yamaha 225HP motors with only 271 hours push this boat along with ease. She is on the plane at 14 knots when playing around with the throttles we got the fuel economy down to as low as 20lph (litres per hour) combined at this speed. Pushing up to 20 knots she burns around 40lph combined. She tops out at 41 knots.
Coming aft of the helm, there's a large above deck storage compartment for multiple 12v camping fridges, to each side you have huge fish wells/kill tanks. There's a plumbed live tank for live bait which also supplies your deck wash. Further aft again, you have a boarding platform and ladder between the motors.
The boat is covered with TMM Eva Foam decking which is in great condition.
This boat sits on a custom Dual Axle trailer, recently modified with boat catch system, I had the pleasure of watching the owner launch and retrieve this vessel single handed without getting wet, simple and efficient.
This is a genuine fishing boat, sitting on the Bayshore Boats trailer which is rated to 4.5T there is plenty of capacity to load the boat full of fuel and equipment and keep her under the 4.5T weight.
Everything has been done, this is a perfect boat for any fishing operation. Try and build this today and you won't get change from $500,000.
Suit buyers considering a Sailfish, Outlaw, Shockwave, Prestoncraft, Leisurecat, Noosacat, Seacat, Shark Cat, Tomcat, Markham or Kevlacat.
