Doral Boats are built in Canada and have a renowned reputation globally for their over-engineered hulls, using thick epoxy laminate over their hull to prevent gelcoat cracking. A great design feature which lends itself well to WA conditions, when some cabin cruisers can't return from Rotto due to bad weather you're sure to get home in this 28 footer.
The layout is in line with the Sea Ray's, Mustangs, Four Winns etc. But the best feature of this boat in my opinion is the huge marlin board and removable aft seating. This boat can turn from a cheese a biccy boat to a fishermen dream in a matter of minutes, comfortably getting 3-4 rods over the side. Downstairs, you have a genuine galley with microwave, sink, fridge, electric cooktop and enough space to prepare meals. 240v power is supplied to the boat via the Westerbeke Generator whilst at sea, or shorepower when alongside. The Monticello features two genuine double berths and the aft day bed is a comfortable third double.
She is powered by the Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI 5.7L V8 engine which is fuel injected. The motor is showing 836 hours of total use and only 200 hours since a total rebuild. Last service was about 20 hours ago and this month a new starter motor was installed. The Transom Assembly was replaced 3 years ago (due every 15-20) and manifolds and risers 3 years ago too (replace every 5-7). So there's no big money to be spent for at least the next two years!
Westerbeke generator was not tested at time of inspection. Get in quick for this well loved Cabin Cruiser.
