Designed to be an improved American Tug 34/365, the MV KOHO is a high quality, Canadian built vessel lofted along the lines of an American Tug 365 but with generous headroom throughout. She features a raised pilothouse with a fly bridge helm station easily accessed from side steps on either side of the Pilothouse Dutch Doors.
Her spacious engine room houses a Cummins QSB 380hp (1990hrs.) which gives a 7 - 12 knot cruise with a top speed of 15 knots. Properly equipped for cruising in the Northwest, including stern and bow thrusters, Hurricane hydronic heat and a deluxe dinghy package.
Recent improvements include new Garmin electronics, a Zen water-maker, full solar panel array with Lithium-ion batteries - Victron system, inverter, new anchor windlass, new full cockpit enclosure and Bimini top. Recent work includes a new aftercooler, new fridge, and new high output alternator.
The covered cockpit has high sided gunwales and is accessed from the swim grid through a centre transom gate. It features a boarding ladder to upper deck/flybridge with Diamond SeaGlaze hatch cover, fresh water wash down, hot and cold water shower, and a Dickinson rail mounted Sea-B-Que BBQ.
The salon is entered from the cockpit through a Diamond SeaGlaze Door to a wide beam salon with galley to starboard. To port is an L-shaped settee and high-low table which converts to a large queen berth. The interior features cherry wood finish and flooring, with a Force 10 propane 3-burner stove with oven, two-bowl sink with Moen single lever faucet, and hot water recirculating valve.
The raised pilot house is accessed up three steps from the galley/salon and features large forward sloping windows, port and starboard Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch Doors, Lewmar hatch, and two small rear facing opening windows. The helm station is equipped with new Garmin electronics, autopilot with remote, new search light with remote, Cummins Smart Craft Display, and Kobelt Smart Control electronic single lever control station.
The stateroom and head are accessed from a companionway on the port side of pilothouse. The stateroom features a large queen walk-around berth with pull-out drawers below, new queen mattress, and two cedar-lined lockers. The head has tiled flooring, electric head with fresh water, and large stand-up shower.
The flybridge is accessed from either the port or starboard side steps from the Dutch Doors or from the cockpit access ladder. This upper steering station features a starboard helm station with Garmin plotter and engine instrumentation.
