Originally sailed solo from the Caribbean to New Zealand, she has already demonstrated exactly what this model is known for: dependable offshore performance combined with real cruising comfort. Now based in Nelson, she has spent recent years exploring the New Zealand coastline, a testament to her suitability for both extended passagemaking and relaxed coastal cruising.
The highly sought-after 2 cabin owner's layout makes a noticeable difference onboard. It offers superior storage, a more spacious feel, and a practical live-aboard configuration compared with the three cabin version. Ideal for couples or serious cruisers who value room over extra berths. When guests join, the saloon table lowers to create comfortable temporary accommodation.
Designed by Groupe Finot, the Oceanis 423 strikes an excellent balance between performance and stability. At just over 43 feet with a beam of nearly four metres, she offers reassuring offshore capability while remaining easy to manage. Central helm position, a generous cockpit, and all control lines led aft to the cockpit make short-handed sailing simple and safe. Sail handling is straightforward, with everything within easy reach of the helm.
