Navigation and electronics have been upgraded with a flush-mounted Garmin MFD chartplotter, radar, and GPS system, paired with an ICOM M502 DSC VHF and Clarion stereo.
Sound suppression features an upgraded custom Soundown muffler discharging through the transom and a lead-lined insulated engine box for whisper-quiet cruising. The vessel is equipped with a SidePower bow thruster and trim tabs with position indicators for enhanced maneuverability.
Hull construction features a hand-laid solid E-glass bottom laminate with foam-cored topsides and stringers, along with a Vinylester osmosis barrier and painted bilge. The hull is Flag Blue with a white boot stripe, cream nonskid, and green bottom paint. Teak details include a varnished toe rail, eyebrow, custom flag staff, and a teak swim platform with stainless steel ladder.
The helm station includes a starboard console with varnished teak shelf and trim, topped with a custom stainless steel steering wheel. The cockpit features a New England cuddy cabin layout with self-bailing design, an L-shaped cushioned settee with storage, an aft-facing engine box seat, and a removable full-beam transom seat. A tan Stamoid Bimini top with stainless steel frame, radar pod, and three-piece Eisenglass enclosure provides weather protection. Additional amenities include a custom varnished teak folding cockpit table, hot and cold transom shower, and LED courtesy lights.
Interior accommodations feature a full-length V-berth with filler cushion and storage below, surrounded by cherry shelving. The cabin is finished in white gelcoat with satin-varnished cherry trim and a faux teak and holly sole. The galley includes a single-burner butane cooktop with tempered glass cover, a deep stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurized water, a Norcold 12V/110V refrigerator, and a microwave oven surrounded by custom cherry storage lockers. The enclosed head includes a full stand-up design with a Corian countertop and stainless steel sink, an extendable shower wand with bulkhead mount and shower curtain, a solar-powered overhead ventilator, and an automatic sump pump.
The Hunt Yachts Surfhunter 29 is a culmination of decades of design and engineering by one of yachting's most influential designers.
